enclosed paraphrase of a telegram from Bir E.Stubbe, dated the 36th September enquiring whether he should encourage the Chiasse in Hong Kong to load money to Chen-Kring King » 2. Er.Amery would be glad to be furnished with a

sopy of the telegram from His Majesty's Charge d'Affaires Peking, to which Bir E.Stubba refers,and to learn at an

early date the nature of the reply which Mr.Chamberlain would wish to be returned to the Governor's enquiry.
